When the project was first announced last September, the hip-hop icon was only attached as a producer, but Roth has now confirmed that Snoop will also take on a starring role. The film reunites the duo more than a decade after Roth directed Snoop’s 2012 music video for “La La La.”
According to Variety, the movie is titled Don’t Go in That House, Bitch! and is set to begin production this June. Roth revealed that he completed the script during the holidays, describing it as the “ultimate haunted house movie,” inspired by cult and classic horror films such as House, Hausu, and Friday the 13th. Snoop Dogg, who has appeared in several genre films including Bones, Hood of Horror, and Day Shift, is no stranger to horror storytelling.
