Hip-hop’s legacy continues to expand onto the big screen with Trinity: The Story Of The L.O.X., a new documentary centered on one of the genre’s most respected groups. The film has been officially selected for the 25th anniversary of the Tribeca Film Festival, where it will make its world premiere as part of an expansive lineup featuring more than 100 films. Directed by Bill Horace, the project offers an in-depth look at The LOX.
Comprised of Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch, the trio’s story is one rooted in longevity and consistency. Running approximately 88 minutes, the documentary traces their evolution from Yonkers to becoming a cornerstone of hip-hop culture. It highlights not just their musical achievements, but also the bond that has kept them unified through decades of change.
Described by Tribeca as a story of “genesis, journey, and brotherhood,” the film leans into themes of loyalty and survival. It explores how the group navigated label disputes, industry shifts, and personal trials while maintaining their identity. For longtime fans, the narrative reinforces what has always set The LOX apart—their unwavering commitment to each other both on and off the stage.
The premiere is expected to be a major moment, with reports of a live performance following the screening. From their breakout during the Bad Boy Records era to milestones like “Money, Power & Respect” and their Verzuz dominance, The LOX have remained a lasting force in hip-hop. Trinity ultimately presents their journey as more than music, but as a powerful testament to unity, resilience, and brotherhood.
