Beyoncé Makes History With Record-Breaking COWBOY CARTER Tour

Beyoncé has once again redefined music industry standards, setting multiple records with her recent COWBOY CARTER tour. According to Billboard, the nine-city stadium tour grossed an unprecedented $407.6 million across 32 shows, making it the highest-grossing country music tour of all time. It also became the fastest tour ever to surpass the $400 million mark—beating even her own 2023 Renaissance World Tour, which spanned 56 dates.

With the success of both COWBOY CARTER and RENAISSANCE, Beyoncé is now the first woman and first American artist to gross over $400 million on two separate tours. She joins an elite group that includes only Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, and The Rolling Stones. Billboard also confirmed her status as the highest-grossing Black artist of all time, with new records set at major venues from Los Angeles to Paris and Atlanta.

The tour concluded in Las Vegas on July 26 with a spectacular finale featuring surprise appearances by her daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi, mother Tina Knowles, husband JAY-Z, and Miley Cyrus. In a nostalgic highlight, Beyoncé reunited with Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for performances of “Lose My Breath,” “Bootylicious,” and “Energy,” dazzling fans in metallic gold stagewear and solidifying her legacy as a peerless live performer.

In a message shared to her Instagram Story on Tuesday (Aug. 19), the 48-year-old singer disclosed she “almost died” on Sunday after being discovered by a friend in a pool of blood. The incident left Braxton with a fractured nose, missing teeth, and mobility issues. Though the exact cause remains unclear, Braxton said the ordeal has given her a new perspective on life. “I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can’t even really talk anymore I’m so weak,” she wrote. “As the days go by the worse it is. The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend my mental journey begins…pray for me for real I don’t even know what happened to me.” Braxton paired the post with a Bible passage and Clavier’s “Spirit Lead Me,” reflecting on her gratitude to be alive. Despite the setback, the Maryland native has remained active in 2025, touring North America with October London earlier this year, releasing her single “You on You” in May, and performing at the ESSENCE Festival in July.
